The Polish airline LOT has built up close relations with the Brazilian manufacturer Embraer over the past two decades. The partnership began in 2004, when LOT took delivery of the world’s first E170 regional jet. Since then, the Polish airline has become the largest European operator of Embraer’s successful first E-Jet family and operates a total of 44 units of all four sub-variants. The last version to enter service with LOT was the E190. SP-LMA was the first of this second-largest E-Jet variant, introduced in 2018. All eight aircraft operated are equipped with 106 seats in a pure economy class configuration.
