On 25 November 2024, Emirates took delivery of not only the first of 65 Airbus A350 aircraft on order, but also the first new aircraft type to join the fleet since 2008. On its delivery flight from Toulouse, France, to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, A6-EXA was powered by a mixture of kerosene and sustainably produced aviation fuel. The A350 will make its debut on the Dubai-Edinburgh route in January 2025, with additional destinations in the Middle East, Western Asia and Europe to follow.
