Fliegerstaffel 19 became the first recipient of the F-5E Tiger II within the Swiss Air Force. For the unit’s 75th anniversary, J-3038 received a special livery with the unit’s heraldic animal on the side fin. Only this machine with the special livery on the tail unit is permanently assigned to the squadron, the other F-5 Tigers are used flexibly where they are needed.
