With the delivery of its first 737 Max 8 in May 2025, the Spanish airline can finally start renewing its short- and medium-haul fleet. Originally, it had already ordered the new aircraft from Boeing in 2016. However, due to the global grounding of the 737 Max in 2019, these aircraft were never delivered. By 2027, Spain’s third-largest airline plans to deploy no fewer than 20 Max 8s in its domestic and European flight network.
