With the repainting of this A320, the Swiss airline is introducing small innovations in its livery. For example, the SWISS lettering on the fuselage has been slightly enlarged and the reference to the affiliation to the Lufthansa Group has been added to the rear end of the fuselage. HB-IJR is named after the city of Avenches. Located in French-speaking Switzerland, the city was founded by the Romans as the Aventicum around 15 BC. Even today, ruins from this time and from later centuries bear witness to its long importance as a trading city.
