The Chevrolet 1533X2 30cwt (another name: Chevrolet 30CWT) is a Canadian off-road truck from the World War II period. The first prototypes appeared in 1942, and serial production continued in 1942-1944, ending with the production of about 200 examples of this car. A single carburetor engine with a capacity of 3.9 liters and 120 HP was used as the drive.
The Chevrolet 30CWT was manufactured by General Motors Canada for the needs of the British branches of the LRDG (Long Range Desert Group), which adopted it as their primary means of transport in 1942. The vehicle was characterized by a very high degree of reliability, very high off-road capability, and was also fantastically suited to desert conditions, on which special emphasis was placed. It also had a relatively long range of up to 400 kilometers. Some Chevrolet 30CWT cars were also equipped with small arms and even 20-30mm light cannons. Cars of this type took part mainly in the fighting in North Africa in the period 1942-1943.
