KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, legally Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij N.V. ([ˈkoːnɪŋklɪkə ˈlʏxtvaːrt ˈmaːtsxɑpɛi̯ ˌɛnˈveː], lit. ’Royal Aviation Company Plc.’), is the flag carrier of the Netherlands. KLM is headquartered in Amstelveen, with its hub at nearby Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. It is part of the Air France–KLM group and a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance. KLM introduced Orange Pride in 2016. The livery takes the traditional KLM blue and merges it with the national color of the Netherlands – Orange. The airline says that, “The combination emphasises KLM’s Dutch roots and pride in the national colour of the Netherlands.”
