The Polish airline LOT is clearly concentrating its modernization program for the medium-haul fleet on the Boeing 737 Max. Currently, no fewer than 24 Max 8s are in service, with six more to be delivered in 2026 alone. Recently, LOT decided to replace its short-haul fleet of Embraer E-Jets with the Airbus A220. The fleet of Poland’s largest airline will focus on three types in the future: the A220 for regional and less frequented routes, the Boeing 787 for long-haul flights and the 737 Max for routes within Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East.
