Smaller aircraft are often overshadowed by the larger and more impressive wide-body aircraft. However, without the use of N877UA and the other 79 Airbus A319s, most of United Airlines’ flagships and several smaller cities would have to do without passengers. In the model world, the situation is not much different. Large long-haul aircraft types are often wrongly favoured over short- and medium-haul aircraft, which far outnumber them. The A319, in the current livery of one of the world’s largest airlines, is finally available to further expand United’s 1:500 scale fleet.
