After some setbacks and program delays, mainly due to the use of the then brand new Europrop TP400 engine, the most powerful turboprop engine with a single propeller, the first A400M Atlas transporters were handed over to the first Air Forces from the end of 2013. To celebrate the tenth anniversary, the 1st Squadron of the 61st Squadron in Orleans-Bricy has applied a special livery to the massive tail of one of its transports and added the emblems of the units that operate the A400M within the French Air Force or support its seamless operation.
