Herpa 1/72nd scale 580694 Luftwaffe Eurofighter Typhoon – TaktLwG 31 (Tactical Wing 31), Nörvenich Air Base “Quadriga” – 31 + 49. Available to pre-order at Flying Tigers.
The German Air Force uses the “Quadriga Project” to describe the development and procurement of what is now the fourth tranche of the Eurofighter. The technically upgraded machines will replace older, less powerful aircraft from Tranche 1. The binary code behind the cockpit is supposed to be an expression of the digitisation of the Luftwaffe, while the blue polygons represent the corporate design of the Bundeswehr. The final at the tail unit is the Quadriga, an ancient Roman chariot with four draft animals, as can also be found on the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
